The Mary T doubles hat night, with a double start, was held tonight in the Lerwick Legion. 16 ladies entered the competition which was played in a round-robin format with two boards of four.
The winners on board 1 were Zara MacRitchie & Michelle Hunter and on board 2 were Wendy Somerville & Autumn Arcus. They played the runners up from the opposite boards Gail Finnie & Maggie Lyall and Chris Cummins & Fiona Sutherland.
In the semi finals Wendy & Autumn beat Gail & Maggie 2-0 and likewise Zara & Michelle beat Chris & Fiona 2-0.
Wendy & Autumn defeated Zara & Michelle 2-0 in the final.
Michelle had a fabulous 127 checkout on the night.
Ann-Katrine presented the trophy and prizes to the winners and runners up on behalf of the Thomason family. She thanked the Shetland Women’s Darts for supporting and running the event, all who came to take part especially given the bad weather, and the Lerwick Legion for hosting.
The money raised from the entry fees and raffles came to £230 and was made up to £250 by a donation from the SWD association. The money will go to MacMillan Nurses which is a charity close to their hearts.
