Victory for Frank Watt in Double in, Double out Singles Competition.

Last Saturday 5th October saw the Double Start Singles Competition take place in the Lerwick Legion with a very healthy 29 players entering on the night.

Following the early rounds which produced some close matches the quarter finals saw Joe Smith defeat Arnold Brown 3-2, Frank Watt beat fellow Hamnavoe teammate Neal Redfern 3-2 Jack Mayes beat Gareth MacRitchie 3-1 and the final quarter final saw Ryan Inkster defeat Shaun MacKenzie 3-1.

The semi finals saw Ryan Inkster beat Jack Mayes 3-0 whilst Frank Watt defeated Joe Smith by the same scoreline to progress through to the final where he would emerge an 4-3 winner over Ryan Inkster to claim the trophy.

On the night 180’s were recorded from Arnold Brown, Stuart Paul and 2 from Ryan Inkster, Neal Redfern also hit a 171.
